FOR THE SAKE OF HIS NAME AMONG THE NATIONS

The day marked on our calendars has finally come: The Asia Pacific Missions 2020 has begun! January 23, 2020 Thursday afternoon the Team convened at The United Church of the Good Shepherd in Mandaluyong, under the leadership of Pastor Ricardo Diaz Bernardino with associate Pastor Emily Santos Gabule, for the orientation and worship service with the participation of the brethren of UCGS. The Missionaries of the APM2020 were introduced to the congregation and one of them, Sis. Ludy Villegas, a member of the church before she migrated to UK, shared her life testimony. Followed by it was the message of the Lord delivered by Rev. Bobby Edmalin encouraging the people to magnify the grace of the Lord at the same time tackling the APM2020 theme: For the sake of His Name among the nations. Led by Pastora Emily, the church then prayed for the missionaries and spoke victory in Jesus’ Name.  Thanks to the recommendation of one of the brethren, the Team then enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at one of the nearby eateries in the area. After that, Rev. Bobby Edmalin conducted the orientation for the activities of the following days- building up the team for the tasks ahead. Pastor Ricardo was so gracious to cater foams and pillows to sleep on for the team in the Multifunction Hall. Thanks to their generosity, the missionaries were able to rest snugly with the air-conditioners cooling the spacious hall for the night and the bathing area opened for them at Pastora Emily’s unit.

UNWAVERING faith IN ACTION

For the second time around, IAFB Europe, along with other volunteer missionaries, are setting off to the other side of the world through the Asia Pacific Mission for the year 2020 for a missionary exposure of 38 days from January 24 to March 1, 2020. With the theme, “For the sake of His Name among the nations” (Romans 1:5), the team will be proclaiming the Name of Jesus Christ in different Asia Pacific countries like Macau, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines by preaching, teaching and evangelizing in different places.
